How to Choose the Right Size

The key is to fill the pouch to at least 70 to 80 percent capacity. A pouch that looks full on the shelf sells better than one that looks empty. Here is a quick product-by-product guide:

Tips for Getting the Size Right

  • Weigh your product first — use a kitchen scale to measure exactly how much fits in your intended pack size
  • Account for the zipper space — the top 3 to 4 cm of the pouch is taken up by the zipper, so your usable fill height is slightly less than the total height
  • When in doubt, go one size up — a slightly larger pouch that is well-filled looks better than a smaller pouch that is overfull or bursting
  • Order sample sizes first — if you are unsure, order 100 units in two different sizes and test which looks better with your product
